This is the core of kohlipe.live. Every bar, café, dive shop, guesthouse and project on the island gets a real website of its own, built around the mood of the place, with its own address under kohlipe.live. The island page is the street they all stand on. Tap a front, step inside.
The speedboat stops at the floating pontoon off Pattaya Beach. You pay the park fee at the desk, climb into a longtail for the last hundred metres and step into the water. Shoes off. Welcome.

Hat Yai runs all year. Fly in, van to Pak Bara pier, speedboat to Lipe. About four hours door to door.
Langkawi is the shortcut from Malaysia. Ninety minutes, immigration is a hut on the beach.
Lanta, Phuket, Krabi run the island hopping speedboat in high season only.

The sun comes up over Koh Adang. The lagoon is glass.
Sunrise Beach faces east across the channel. Walk north until the resorts stop, the sandbar at the tip is the spot. Fifteen minutes in the water before anyone has switched on a coffee machine. Then yoga on the sand, or back to bed.

06SUNRISE BEACH
The water stays shallow for a long way. Fine for weak swimmers, perfect for floating.
Bring a mask. The reef starts a few metres out, turtles graze the seagrass at the north end.
Sunrise yoga runs at Keirita's and at several resorts on the beach. Drop in, pay on the mat.
Breakfast after: Café Lipe on Pattaya Beach has been doing it since 2003.

Adventure
A wooden longtail, a mask, and the clearest water in Thailand.
The classic trip. From Sunrise Beach to the islands you can see from the sand and the ones you cannot. Jabang, the soft coral garden two metres down. Koh Hin Ngam, the island of black stones. Koh Rawi, white sand and nobody there. Lunch on the beach, back by four.
Or walk to a beach stall on Sunrise Beach the evening before and book a private longtail for your group. Half day is the inner ring, full day goes out to Koh Rawi.

Ten minutes by longtail across the channel, then a steep trail through the forest. Three viewpoints. The third shows you the whole island, the reef, and the boats like toys on the water. Sit until your breath is normal again.

Twenty to thirty minutes up. Slippery after rain. Shoes with grip, a litre of water each.
Ranger station at the bottom. Your park ticket from the pontoon counts here.
Go before ten or after three. Midday on that trail is a mistake you make once.
Waterfalls inland in green season. Ask the rangers which one has water.
Open air huts on the beach, proper rooms on Walking Street. An hour of Thai massage costs what one cocktail costs at home. After that a mat in the shade, a swim, a nap on a bean bag at Zodiac while Koh Adang turns gold across the water.

The sun goes behind Koh Adang. Every single day.
Sunset Beach on the west side is where it actually goes down. Small, rocky, a few bars, no boats. Sunrise Beach gets the colour instead, the whole ridge of Adang turns gold and then violet, and that is where Zodiac is. Be there a good half hour before.

Grilled fish on ice, roti, a DJ in a corner. Walk until the music fits.
Walking Street runs from Pattaya Beach to Sunrise Beach. Seafood barbecue from six, point at the fish and pay by weight. The Box for Spanish, The Living Room for bean bags and a DJ, Zodiac on the sand for the late set. Every one of them has its own site on this page.

Walk north on Sunrise Beach until the resorts stop. A sandbar runs out into the channel, the best swim on the island at six in the morning, nobody there.
The sea people have lived here since around 1909, long before the first bungalow. The village sits between Walking Street and Sunrise Beach. Walk through with respect, buy fish at the market.
Every speedboat and ferry stops at the floating pontoon off Pattaya Beach. Pay the national park fee here, ฿200 cash, keep the ticket. Longtail to the sand, shoes off.
Monday morning the Social Circle picks up what the sea brought in. The Animal Rescue feeds, treats and rehomes the strays. Sunflower Guesthouse puts you up next door to them. None of this has a marketing budget. All of it has a site here.
